Are you fond of reading?

Do you find delight in opening a book of classical novels,

short stories, detectives, fantasy or poetry?

Would you like to read in English

and share your impressions

with like-minded people?

Welcome to English literature club!

Each meeting of the club is dedicated to a discussion of a short story. I find that a short story is the best genre to choose for weekly sessions. We are going to read classic and modern short stories by Oscar Wilde, Scott Fitzgerald, Somerset Maugham, Edgar Allan Poe, Jack London, O. Henry, Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, Isaac Asimov, Neil Gaiman, Alice Munro, John Updike, JD Salinger, James Joyce and others.

We are also going to study some of the best English poems. You will learn to understand and appreciate English poetry, as well as know your favorite poems by heart.
